This is a very nice “100% superfine merino wool” sweater. I wear a small most times but decided to go with a medium because I’d like to wear this over a long sleeve shirt and didn’t want it to fit tightly and I’m glad I got a medium. The buttons are pear like in the center with gold on the outside. I don’t love the buttons because it makes the sweater look a little matronly but they may grow on me and that’s just my preference. I just wish they were all gold. I can always accessorize to make it look more my style. The softness and structure of the sweater more than make up for that one flaw I found. Such a good deal for a wool sweater!

This is a beautiful vest. I ordered one size up. The color and fit is perfect. It is made so well, and beautiful on. The fabric feels soft and stretchy, with just the right amount of thickness for fall. The quality is excellent, and it’s so versatile. You can easily dress it up or down. It is very comfortable to wear. I highly recommend this sweater vest.

My wife wanted this for wearing on cooler days. She is particularly thrilled that the material is true Marino wool rather than some blend. I was surprised at how soft and non-itchy it was. I don’t like wool due to the itch but if this is today’s wool, I can see picking up a sweater or two made of it. It seemed both to my wife and me that the buttons have a more prominent look than in the product image. They really pop out against the deep black of the sweater proper. My wife reports that it worked keeping her warm on a cool autumn morning just as she’d hoped it would. It’s now a welcomed addition to her wardrobe.

Nice, soft, wool vest keeps your core warm at home or under a coat without adding bulk. I was concerned that the thinner wool would not be warm but it is, has nice cabling and feels like angora. The only negative is the cheapy buttons which are not my taste but I will change them. Surprisingly good buy and I love this warm, soft vest.

XL TanThis is a nice vest, but it just isn’t what I expected. Yes, it is very soft and generally well made. But I cannot get it to look at all like the one in the photos. I’m not a model and am not expecting to look svelte, but, for example, when I button the vest it seems gappy. Then when I tuck the bottom up as shown in the photo, a big gap appears. I think there needs to be another button down the front. It is true that the vest may be a bit big on me, but it is also big on the model. I don’t really like the buttons. A bit too fancy for me. They seem flimsy and have hard edges. I’ll be replacing them with something that suits my taste better, which will be quite easy to do since one fell off when I was testing the vest. (They are very lightly attached.) Also, the vest’s color and stitch definition are more attractive in the photos. Of course, computer monitors are notoriously off when displaying color, but my tan vest is a darker color than the one in the listing photo. The stitches in the listing page are much more distinct than those in my sweater. My vest is softer and floppier than I expected. Here are some measurements from the XL that I received:Center back length: about 35”Center front length: about 26”Side seam length from bottom of armhole to hem: about 17”Chest (at level of bottom of armholes): about 43”Bottom hem: about 44”Shoulder seam: about 6”

This is a lovely sweater vest! It's well-made and the yarn is plush and soft. I ordered a medium (5'10" 36C) and I could have sized down. The medium gives me a slightly oversized look.

I was hesitant to purchase something that didn't have a lot of reviews, but decided to take a chance. This vest is so beautiful and SOFT. Pure Marino wool that is not at all scratchy. Don't love the buttons, so I'll change those, but It is exactly what I was looking for. So happy with this purchase

I got the cream color of this sweater and the color is lovely. It is a warm cream that will suit many skin tones. The "hand" of the fabric is super soft, so soft that it feels almost like cashmere. It is wool, a sustainable fabric, a strong plus in my mind. The sweater looks expensive and of good quality.Don't expect a heavy wool sweater. A really warm wool sweater, such as an Irish sweater, which has possibly twice of much wool and can be worn as a coat, is also much more costly. This sweater is meant to be worn when it is cool, not cold, for the times when you need a little extra warmth. It is a fair price for this use.However, there are a couple of drawbacks that cause me to subtract a star. The first is the buttons. They are made of what I presume is fake pearl surrounded by copper toned, fluted metal. The metal looks cheap, when the sweater looks expensive, and is sort of sharp on the edges, which makes the buttons not glide easily when you button or unbutton the garment. Also, they are tenuously sewn on the sweater. I plan to reinforce the sewing or even replace them with buttons that are more appropriate to the quality of the sweater.Secondly, the design is not very flattering. There are cable knits on the sides of the sweater that draw the eye out to make you look wider.However, I think I will use it often because of its appropriate warmth for cool, but not cold, environments.
