I ordered this cardigan with my 9-year-old daughter in mind. I haven't ordered from the Chanyarn brand before, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I'm impressed!The largest selling point for me is that this cardigan is made of 100% merino wool. I do my best to avoid synthetic fibers when making purchases for my family. This sweater is very soft without any itch. I would describe it as lightweight, which makes it a great layering piece for the colder months.I like the timeless silhouette of this cardigan. It has a uniform knit with a ribbed hem on the neck, sleeves, and bottom. It can be worn open or button-ed up for extra warmth in the colder months. Something to note is that although this cardigan is described as "girls", there are boys pictured wearing it. Although it could be considered a uni-sex item, the buttons are sewn on the left side rather than the right, which is the feminine arrangement.My daughter chose the "Dark Red" color and it is a beautiful deep burgundy that is true to the description photos.My daughter is tall and slim and I chose the size "Large" for her after glancing at the size chart measurements in the listing description. It fits her very well and I would describe it as true-to-size.

Our daughter loves it - true to size and color and she loves how soft the inside is. The fabric is well woven, but a bit thin, so keep that in mind. The buttons were also sewn on well and everything was shaped nicely.

Such a cute sweater! I got the size large for my 10 year old daughter who is normally a size 10 and it fits true to size. She loves that it is super soft. Washes up well, however it will need to be laid flat to dry or else it will shrink. She has been wearing this sweater almost everyday instead of a jacket and it has been keeping her plenty warm on these cooler fall mornings. Well worth the money

This merino wool cardigan is gorgeous! The wool is so soft and itch free. The knit is different than what I was expecting, but it’s a pleasant surprise. The front of the body of the sweater has a nubbly texture that is different from the texture of the arms and back. It provides visual and textural interest rather than just being a traditional flat knit. I like it, but it may not be everyone’s cup of tea; attached is a picture for reference. The red is a beautiful, deeply vibrant hue that will look perfect for holiday photos; I can practically see the Christmas card in my mind. The buttons have an abalone shell appearance but are durable plastic. My daughter presently wears size medium but I ordered this cardigan in size large for layering and I’m glad I did. The fit proportions are a touch relaxed, but not terribly oversized. If your kiddo is on the cusp of the size range, I wouldn’t hesitate to size up. This is my daughter’s new favorite sweater!

If you look at the sizes, you'll see that the 3XL measurements are about equal to a Women's Small, so I decided to see if the sweater would fit. It does! There is ample room to button the sweater without straining, the sleeves are long enough for my adult arms and the hem hits about mid-hip.The pink color is not solid pink - it is more mottled (pink and white). The tag is marked 100% Merino Wool and the sweater is made in China. Instructions are to hand wash. The sweater is lightweight (you can see the black hanger in my pictures). While wool makes me itch heavily, this sweater doesn't cause much reaction at all when placed against bare skin. The sweater look is more sweater knit style than brushed style.At the time of this review, this merino wool cardigan is priced at around forty dollars - a decent price for a sweater knit style cardigan made out of 100% superfine merino.

Beautiful sweater that is very soft and solidly made. Color is really nice and even and just what I’d want in a sweater.Not too warm or cool, just right for layering not itchy at all and my 12 yr old would let me know!Got a 3x as that was the right fit for her height at 5’3”. Fit is spot on and the length and width are just right as well to keep a flattering fit without being too baggy or snug.Overall a very happy 12 yr old that will wear this very often!

When I spotted this cocoa colored sweater, I was disappointed that it is meant for a child, not for an adult. But, looking at the sizes and clear measurements, I realized a 3XL might fit me. 3XL= 5’3”, chest = 35.4”, sleeve length = 20.9” and length = 22.8”. At 5’3”, the length was perfect, chest only one inch too large ( no big deal) and the only concern I had was the sleeve length, but the sleeves on the sweater I received were 2 inches longer making them exactly the length I needed. So just because it’s a child’s sweater doesn’t mean an adult can’t wear it. And here’s the reason why you would want to: It is SOFT, lightweight, and well-made. It’s coming with me to Europe next week, it’s warm enough for cool evenings, but not heavy and should pack up really well. Plus, the color is quite lovely. It really is 100% Marino wool, no synthetics added, so it should retain it shape and not pick up any odors for at least a number of wearings.

This is exquisite. The color is darker than it appears in the photos, but this is so soft that even the little kids that find wool scratchy would be in love with this. The workmanship is unbelievable at this price point. Highly recommend.

Such beautiful, soft material. A handsome style sweater for a boy (or girl). While it is soft, it does seem like it could be itchy and you may need an under shirt. The tan brown color is true to image. It has a little more texture than I was expecting with the way the weave is. There is also some nubby-ness in the material (see photo). I hope this does not mean it will pill with washing. It is supposed to be hand washed only as this is a fine merino, pay attention to the care label for longevity. It comes with a label that you could sew on perhaps (pictured). I’ll just hang on to this for now. The only frustrating thing, is that there is no indication of the size of the sweater on the sweater or tags.
