I ordered this men’s 100 % merino wool sweater in medium, charcoal gray, and it’s quickly become a go-to piece in my fall/winter wardrobe. The V-neckline is sharp without being too deep, which makes it easy to layer over shirts or wear on its own. The seamless knit gives it a very clean, refined look, and you can tell the quality is high— the wool feels soft against the skin, not scratchy, and the stitching is tight with no loose threads. In terms of fit, it hugs the shoulders and chest nicely without feeling tight, and the sleeves are long enough to reach the wrists even when my arms stretch. The wearability is excellent: it’s warm without being bulky, lightweight enough to layer under a jacket, and it has enough elasticity to move with you. Overall, it strikes a wonderful balance between style and comfort, and I’d definitely order again—maybe try it in the navy or olive next.

This sweater is super soft and comfortable. Fits well, though a little on the smaller side. Slight v-neck, not too deep. Feels very nice but is a bit thin. Would be great for layering, but more of a dressy sweater than a good robust heavy knit.

This is a classic style sweater and fits true to USA sizing. It is soft, comfortable & well made. The seams at the shoulders & neck are knit together & there are no side seams which is sign of a well made sweater. This is a light/medium weight sweater. It is a good weight for layering without a lot of bulk. It will be great for fall & winter wear. My husband always packs a sweater like this for fall & winter travel because it is warm, doesn’t wrinkle & looks good for many occasions.It is very soft but if you are sensitive to wool against your skin, you may find it a little itchy. Layering will help.Hand wash this in cold water with a sweater detergent - you can also use the wool/sweater setting on a washing machine. Make sure to reshape & dry this flat.

This is the heaviest merino sweater I've had. It's thicker than Pendleton sweaters, and more the thickness of classic wool. For softness, it's between classic wool and cashmere. Size-wise, note that I'm female, but I wear a lot of men's styles. I bought a large. It's definitely got the length in the arms and torso as any large. In terms of girth, it's more of a medium-large. If you're thin and tall, this'll be perfect. Otherwise, you might want to size up. Neck and stitching are good quality--it's obviously a very nice sweater. I'm just slightly curious as to the thickness of the merino. If I didn't read the tag, I would've guessed it was a merino/lambswool blend. Anyway, it's going to be a toasty winter sweater. I love wool for the warmth without the weight. Very nice color too.On a side note, the neck tag isn't attached, which I've seen on other nicer shirts lately (I assume it's for companies to brand their own stuff), but I like not having a tag to bug me.

I’m so bummed this is way too small for me. I wanted this sweater to be my go-to black V-neck for winter. I’m 5’8”, 170 lbs, and typically wear a large, so that’s what I ordered—and it’s way too tight for my liking.The size chart was way off. The description said the model was 6’2” wearing a loose-fitting sweater in a small. No way. If you want a form-fitting sweater, stick to your normal size, but if, like me, you want a looser fit, you may want to size up—or even two sizes up.The fabric is exceptionally soft. I’m soooo bummed about the sizing because I really love the sweater. Even the arms are tight. I don’t have big arms, and it feels like a compression sleeve.My wife says it looks good, and I agree—it looks good, it just feels tight. I gave it a hand wash to see if it would relax a bit, but it still fits tight. I’ll probably wear it a couple times, but I’ll always be self-conscious that it’s too tight… because it is.

I have come to cherish Merino wool. It is light and relatively thin next to a thick wool sweater yet yields a pleasant warmth. I normally take a large, but this one is a little snug at that size. I am concerned because we all know that wool can shrink if exposed to hot water even once. However the instructions are to hand wash, and I will be doing so in cold water. I should have ordered an extra-large. I really like the Navy Blue color and am thinking a white button-down collar shirt with it would be the cat’s meow. I agree when the manufacturer says it is finely soft and finely textured. Winter is coming, and an extra layer of warmth, mixed with luxury is just what the doctor ordered. Highly recommended.

Outstanding quality! I strongly recommend a size up, as they tend to run slightly small, but other than that they are perfect.I received one of these for review, and immediately purchased another. I've fallen in love with Merino wool recently after trying out a t-shirt. They really are worth the price, provided it's real Merino wool.A burn test on these showed no signs of synthetic fabrics mixed in, and some research on the company leads me to believe it's real Australian Merino wool. If it isn't, it certainly feels like it. There are no odd smells and it smells like real wool (before the first wash).Their 2025 Fall lineup includes these sweaters, of which this is the brown V-neck version. They have other styles available if you check their store page.Despite the model's appearance in the photographs, the V-neck style isn't as prominent or large as it appears, which is great, as it can easily be worn without an undershirt if you desired.It's incredibly soft, and while not as soft / fine as a Merino wool t-shirt, it's also soft enough to be worn by itself if you wanted, but everyone's skin reacts differently to wool. This is a sweater, so it's thicker and there is a very light sensation when you first wear it of it being wool, but it goes away after awhile.It's counter-intuitive at first but t-shirts and underwear use the finest threads for comfort, so that's why a sweater costs about the same.I haven't washed mine yet, but I plan to do so in a small mesh nylon laundry bag for delicates on cold / gentle, which is what I recommend. You don't want these getting twisted up in your laundry machine.For drying, you can hang dry (recommended) or dry on low cycle. I haven't had any issues with my t-shirt yet in the dryer but this is a thicker fabric and it may shrink a little.It is virtually seamless and tag-less - they include the tag in a removable tag which is nice.If you are looking for Fall / Winter gifts, these would be great - just remember to go a size up!

I ordered the "Men's 100% Merino Wool Sweater with V Neck Long Sleeve Seamless Knit Sweater" in Dark Red from the CHANYARN Store on Amazon. Unlike my other high-quality, 100-percent Merino, "superfine" wool sweaters, this one is seamless and has a much more luxurious feel. (See my closeup photos.) The dark red color is rich. The weight and density of the CHANYARN sweater are about the same as my other Merino wool sweaters, although this one does seem fluffier and softer than the others. This doesn't make it better or worse, just different; that is, the texture and feel might not be to everyone's liking. I, for one, like it.Oddly, the sweater has no labels with information on brand or sizing. A tiny label on the bottom inner side has care instructions: handwash only. My size with sweaters of this type is between Men's Medium and Large. I would generally try on a sweater before purchasing. Some medium-sized sweaters are too snug for my taste, and some large sweaters are too roomy. The CHANYARN medium sweater is very close to being too tight for me. If I had the opportunity to try it on before ordering, there's a good chance I would have chosen the larger size. As my wife stated when I asked her how it looked on me, "All of your sweaters don't need to fit you so loosely." She has a point. Still, for a potential buyer's reference, note that these sweaters are probably true to size.

The Men's 100% Merino Wool Sweater from Chanyarn is a lovely find. It arrived on time and as expected from the listing details. It was wrapped securely for the shipping process. The sweater is lightweight, soft and is a nice shade of grey. It has a nice balance of thickness for layering up or down based on the weather/occasion. I would recommend this product to others.

This merino wool sweater is classy and has a touch of understated elegance. The wool is so soft. It's medium thickness and has texture. It's not heavy in weight. The sweater is well crafted and the fit is regular. Color is a neutral brown with sparkles of lighter thread; it just adds light. This is a very attractive sweater. Size is accurate to the seller size chart. The wool is not scratchy and it doesn't rub or feel prickly against my skin. Just a classic looking sweater to go over a dress shirt when it’s a little chilly. It adds a little classic style whether you wear it under a jacket, coat or casually.

The sweater looks beautiful in color, has very good wool quality, and feels pleasantly soft – actually perfect with one flaw: I ordered XL and it feels like only a L, so for an XL size it runs a bit small.

Nice light wight sweater that fits well.

This is a lovely, tightly-knit sweater of fine-gauge wool. The Navy blue color is not a true navy, but is a deep and saturated sapphire with some purple overtones. The cut is definitely a slim fit; the manufacturer's size chart is absolutely accurate, but you should note that the sizes may be different than what you are used to ordering. Well-priced at $60 though I do note that this sweater seems a bit more prone to pilling than the other Chanyarn sweaters I have reviewed.

This is a great, light weight, incredibly soft sweater that fits true to size. I absolutely love merino wool and think this is the perfect sweater for a casual night when paired with either khakis or jeans. Loved the v neck look and feel of this sweater so much, I came back to order a second in a different color. These will certainly be a staple when the weather starts to get a little cooler.

This sweater is of superior quality. I think it's perfectly weighted and the color matches what I ordered. I think the style is classy and the size is true to size. I think it would make for an excellent gift.

Super-soft, merino wool sweater with a bit of a nap to it, so it could almost pass for cashmere. I really like how soft this wool is compared to other merino wool sweaters I have. This sweater is not scratchy feeling at all, so you could wear it close to your skin. It's a fairly fine gauge knit, but not super fine, so it has a bit of heft. I'm a normal size M and so I ordered M. This sweater fits quite close to the body, but not tight - there's not much drape to it. If you prefer a more roomy fit or a slouchy look, order a size or two up. Because of the close fit, this sweater would work well and be comfortable under a blazer or a jacket. The sweater is knit is such a way that there are no seams, so it has a nice, smooth, continuous look and feel.The navy blue color is not a true navy, but somewhere between a navy and royal blue. The v-neck is not a very deep, so it's not much deeper than a crew neck, but just enough to comfortably support the collar of a shirt. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the sleeves are very close fitting (almost too tight) around the arms. I don't have particularly large arms, so wearing this over a regular button down shirt means you can see every wrinkle in the sleeve of the shirt underneath the sweater.

I am very pleased with this sweater. It will be a perfect gift for my son for his birthday. The wool is very soft and nice to the touch. It is nicely styled and well made. I do think it runs a little small but that is pretty normal with items made overseas. It will be good for wearing here in Texas where the winters are warmer since the sweater is not super thick like they seem to wear up north. You can wear it either over a shirt or just over a Tshirt/undershirt for a dressier or more casual look. You could even wear it with a blazer. Overall , a versatile, attractive and well made item.
