This merino wool vest has a classic, timeless look. The fabric is soft, but still has that merino feel, so I do think the fabric is authentic. It’s a nice weight for layering. Thin but not too thin. You could wear an undergarment underneath and it won’t show through. It doesn’t feel super delicate. It should hold up to the wear and tear that inevitably occurs with kids. It fits true to size.It’s a nice, simple fall vest. Warm and cozy.

This is a very nice sweater vest. My husband bought this for both our older daughter and eventually our younger son. I didn't think our daughter would like this because it seemed more boyish BUT she loved it. It let her wear a light long sleeve underneath the vest to keep her warm just enough (she runs warm most days). And it looked really cute on her! My husband has a similar looking vest so now they can match and be adorable!It seems pretty durable, I wouldn't put it in the dryer, just a hang dry situation, but it is soft and just thick enough to be able to wear a long sleeve underneath without getting too warm. I think this was made quite well.

The reason the vest is handwash only is that it is a high-quality merino wool, and unless it gets really dirty, it doesn't have to be washed every time it is worn. The color variations are beautiful, and I can't even tell you how luxuriously soft it is. I love it so much that I will be getting other colors, and my kids all want one to match! Say less! It runs true to size, and the good thing with the vest is that you can size up and it will still look fantastic.I ordered a size 3XL. For reference, I am 5'1", 143 lbs, 36DD.

SO. SOFT.It feels like cashmere, no joke. I got the light brown color for easy matching, and it should do that. I'm amazed by the cashmere-like quality. It seems to run a bit large, but that's okay for this style, and kids grow so fast anyways.It's a decent price for wool, especially this fine, and I know it will help keep my little one warm this year.

Very nice quality wool sweater. We have done only one wash, but it seemed to hold up ok. The colors did not run. The size was correct for my 7 year old kid. The sweater keeps her warm and is comfortable.The fit is a straight classic fit. It is not tight. Overall it is quite nice. The color was a red maroon and it did look nice and rich.

I got this vest for my daughter — she usually wears a small, but I ordered a large, and it still fits well, not too wide and goes to her hip - so she could wear it even now. So I would definitely consider sizing up for it to last through more seasons.The vest itself is beautiful. The fibers are very fine, and when you hold it up to the light you can really see how thin and delicate it is (see my photo). If you wear a contrasting color underneath, a little of it will show through.It feels soft and pleasant against the skin, not heavy at all, and the quality is lovely. Comes well packaged and was having high hopes, but I have a few mixed feelings. The tag shows 140 size, which was the Large size. I got this for my 12-year-old daughter (about 5 feet tall, medium build), and the fit is noticeably tighter than expected. It definitely runs small, so I’d recommend sizing up if you’re considering this vest, especially to layer over a dress shirt.Overall, it’s a decent piece for casual wear, but because of the thinner fabric, less-than-soft texture, and the sizing issue, I have to take one star off. Will update with long-term use if it still holds up after washing and drying.

Sweater vests are wonderful layering pieces for fall transitional dressing. This merino wool beauty is exceptionally soft and well knit for a smooth, clean finish. The brown has a lovely marled appearance that has a gorgeously cozy autumnal vibe. I like the styling of the armholes. They’re neatly finished without any ribbing so they’re comfortable and fit well over shirts and dresses. My daughter is presently wearing size medium, but I ordered this vest in size large in hopes that it could be worn like a tunic. I’m happy with the fit and styling. It’s classic, but elevated because of the luxuriously soft quality wool. This sweater vest is an excellent investment!

I know this isn't meant for adults, but I love merino wool and I couldn't resist purchasing this for myself in hopes that an XXL would fit me. I am 5'4" and 130lbs and the XXL that I ordered is very comfortable and can be worn alone or with a collared shirt underneath. The merino wool is extremely soft and luxurious! It actually looks and feels a lot like cashmere. I love all the different colors that this vest comes in and will probably order a couple more. Very pleased with this purchase and the fact that it comes in extended sizes that can also fit adults.

Hand wash only which is inconvenient for sure. BUT it’s warm and true to size. With such high quality this doesn’t need to be washed after every wear so that is something to consider. It feels more warm and soft rather than itchy like your typical wool. Nice for kids and great uniform add on for the winter.

Amazing love it

This is a beautifully made children's wool vest. It's 100% superfine merino wool and is very soft and not at all scratchy - almost a cashmere knit. It's thinner, but I expect it will be warm due to the material used. The gray is a great neutral and looks true to the color on my screen; it has lighter gray threads intermixed with darker gray, which turns out to be a lovely mottled finish, just like other high-end merino and cashmere sweaters that I've seen.The details are impeccable; I noticed no stitching issues, irregular seams, or other flaws upon inspection. It's true to the sizing chart; my son currently wears a size 7-8 (size 130cm), I ordered a large, and it fits like an 8/size 130cm should. The quality is such that I expect to pass this down to my daughter when he's done with it.Overall, I'm very impressed with this vest and am glad to have found such high quality when it, quite frankly, rarely exists anymore. I will absolutely keep an eye on this brand in the future. The price is well worth it considering the quality of this vest.

As far as I can tell this actually is merino wool. I have a few merino wool garments and this seems genuine. The fit was as expected. The Navy color looks good. It makes for a nice dressy look for a youngster without being overly hot or constraining. As long as you give this sweater vest proper care it should last quite a while. If you buy it for a young person they will outgrow it long before it wears out if you care for it properly.

The wool is nice and soft, and I love the heather brown color. I'm so grateful it's not synthetic, especially since I'm trying to eliminate yucky polyester and fake stuff from my wardrobe. I'm a small woman, so I tried out the largest child's size, hoping it would work, but the size does run a bit small by an inch or too. I think I can make it work though. The wool knit is very thin, but that works fine for layering when you want a little bit of extra warmth. This is not a down puffer vest-- don't expect this to be something it's not and it's a great wardrobe addition.

Merino wool is wonderfully soft, in case you didn't know. This is a great layering piece for cooler temps and my daughter loved the bright red color. It is a snug fit and be sure you know how to launder wool products before washing or you'll make permanent mistakes (shrinkage!!).

This is a lightweight, fine weave that leads to a very soft wool vest. The fit is slightly narrow and slightly long, as the listing photos appear also. The blue is a rich dark blue, clearly blue and not so dark to make it almost black. Definitely hand wash and shape the sweater back out to lay flat while drying. This is a nice sweater for the money and a much better value and quality than the typical synthetic fabrics you find for kids. It is lightweight, but perfect for layering and adding warmth.

It's a pretty nice and soft material but unfortunately I feel like it might not be good functional. It's a little bit loose and thin. I'm worried about the longevity of the thing too because the armpit area seems to not have very extensive stitching. They look a little stressed on arrival.I think it's good if you need something to look a little more formal, but it's not that great for warmth. Also, the fact you can't machine wash this makes it more of a consideration whether to wear it or not.Also pretty expensive for just a kid's sweater. To each their own though!
