Merino wool is softer and lighter than traditional wool because the fibers from Merino sheep are finer and smoother. I ordered this cardigan with my 9-year-old daughter in mind. I haven't ordered from the Chanyarn brand before, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I'm impressed!The largest selling point for me is that this cardigan is made of 100% merino wool. I do my best to avoid synthetic fibers when making purchases for my family. This sweater is very soft without any itch. I would describe it as lightweight, which makes it a great layering piece for the colder months.I like the timeless silhouette of this cardigan. It has a uniform knit with a ribbed hem on the neck, sleeves, and bottom. It can be worn open or button-ed up for extra warmth in the colder months. Something to note is that although this cardigan is described as "girls", there are boys pictured wearing it. Although it could be considered a uni-sex item, the buttons are sewn on the left side rather than the right, which is the feminine arrangement.My daughter chose the "Dark Red" color and it is a beautiful deep burgundy that is true to the description photos.My daughter is tall and slim and I chose the size "Large" for her after glancing at the size chart measurements in the listing description. It fits her very well and I would describe it as true-to-size.
Our daughter loves it - true to size and color and she loves how soft the inside is. The fabric is well woven, but a bit thin, so keep that in mind. The buttons were also sewn on well and everything was shaped nicely.
This cardigan is made from very lightweight wool which makes it very comfortable and manageable. It runs true to size and the color is gorgeous. The feel of the material isn't scratchy at all and should be usable for daily wear. Overall a terrific light cardigan.

We source the finest 17.5-17.9μm ultra-fine merino wool directly from Australia (never using merino wool above 18μm) and premium grade A cashmere from Mongolia, including white and purple cashmere with lengths of 34-38mm and a fineness of 15.8-16.5 micrometers. Every stage of production—from spinning, dyeing, weaving, washing, shaping, to packaging—is handled in our own factory without any third-party involvement. This allows us to control both raw material and production costs, passing on the savings directly to you, providing you with high-quality products at reasonable prices.
